Sara is a lifelong language learner. Her father had the opportunity to work in Venezuela, and so he and his family (including year-old Sara) moved to that country where they lived until Sara was 12 years old. The family then moved to Mexico, where Sara lived until graduating from high school. After obtaining her undergraduate degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, Sara began her career in education, completing Master’s degrees and securing a certification in Educational Administration along the way.

Working as a district administrator for language programs for fifteen years allowed Sara to see the changes in a large urban-suburban district, working collaboratively with others to ensure that the needs of the students were of utmost importance.
